After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, Dr. Novack received additional training in complex hip and knee reconstruction at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Novack has an interest in treating a wide range of hip and knee issues, from sprains and strains to early arthritis, all the way up to complex and revision hip and knee replacements. He focuses on preserving joints as long as possible, using a wide range of modern techniques.
He also specializes in robotic-assisted partial and total knee, as well as total hip replacement surgery utilizing the direct anterior and anterolateral approaches. Dr. Novack was part of the team that performed one of the first robotic-assisted total knee replacements in Northern New Jersey.
Dr. Novack has published several articles in peer-reviewed publications, has had his research displayed at numerous orthopedic meetings, and has contributed to several book chapters. He has also given lectures on multiple orthopedic topics at the local, state, national, and international levels. Dr. Novack has a special passion for educating and working with the orthopedic residents at the St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
Dr. Novack resides in Essex County with his wife Meghan, who is a local pediatrician, as well as their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid Penn State and Philadelphia sports fan.
