J. Faloon, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who joined the University Spine Center team from the Hospital for Special Surgery, where he was a clinical associate at Weill Cornell Medical College.

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Faloon returned to his home state of New Jersey to complete his medical and residency training at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School and Seton Hall University.

Dr. Faloon serves on the clinical faculty for Seton Hall University and he is an attending spine surgeon at St. Joseph`s University Medical Center, Valley Hospital, Morristown Medical Center, Holy Name Hospital and Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on complex spine disorders with a focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques and scoliosis surgery. He also volunteers his expertise in underserved nations for children with complex scoliosis deformities.

Dr. Faloon has been honored by New Jersey Family Magazine’s Favored Kids’ Docs every year since 2014. He has been featured on New York Channel 7 Eyewitness News, the Star-Ledger and The Bergen Record. Dr. Faloon was featured on CBS 2 New York Health Watch with Max Gomez for being the first surgeon in New Jersey to perform scoliosis corrective surgeries using magnetic rods, limiting the stress and trauma children undergo with multiple procedures.

Dr. Faloon is published extensively and listed on PubMed. He is active in the Scoliosis Research Society, North American Spine Society and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
